What is Dragon Ball FighterZ?
Dragon Ball FighterZ is a 2.5D tag fighting game developed by Arc System Works and published by Bandai Namco. You pick three fighters, fight as one, and swap or call assists at any moment — the whole team has to go down before a match ends.
It is built to look like the anime rather than a game: hand-drawn shading, 60fps cinematic supers, and Dramatic Finishes that replay famous scenes when you end a match the right way. The controls are famously easy to start and famously hard to master.
Eight years after launch it is still being patched and still being played. Update 1.50 landed in April 2026 alongside Goku (SS4, DAIMA), the first new fighter since 2022, and the world tour keeps the competitive scene alive.

Dragon Ball FighterZ Beginner Guide
Dragon Ball FighterZ is the 3v3 tag fighter from Arc System Works, and this guide takes you from never having touched a tag fighter to your first ranked match: movement, assists, neutral, and the training-mode routine worth copying in your first ten hours.
Dragon Ball FighterZ Combos and Controls
How the combo system is actually put together, from the notation everyone uses to the universal route almost every team shares. No character-specific frame data, just the structure you need before you can read any combo video.
Dragon Ball FighterZ Full Character Roster
Every playable fighter in the game, grouped by what they actually are rather than by release order. Use it to see how many versions of Goku exist, which villains made the cut, and how the three fusion slots differ.
Dragon Ball FighterZ Tier List
A tier list built from EventHubs' matchup chart, where players score every pairing in the game and the totals decide the order. Nothing here is a personal opinion: each tier below is a score band you can check against the live chart, and the bands cover all 45 fighters.
Ultra Instinct Goku (247.6), Bardock (242.3), GT Goku (231.7) and Kid Buu (230.0) — the only four above 230, with Cell (229.9) effectively tied at the top.
Adult Gohan 229.6, Vegeta 225.9, Gotenks 225.5, Teen Gohan 225.2, Gogeta 224.4, Vegito 224.3, Android 21 223.6, Super Baby 2 223.2, Goku 223.0, Videl 222.9 and Base Vegeta 222.0.

Dragon Ball FighterZ DLC and Season Passes
Three season passes, one standalone fighter and one 2026 pack, with the full contents of each listed straight from the store pages. Buy in the right order and you never pay twice for the same character.
Dragon Ball FighterZ Platforms & Versions
Six releases across two console generations, and the version you own decides how the game feels online before skill matters. This breaks out what shipped when, and which editions actually got rollback netcode.
Dragon Ball FighterZ Crossplay Status
Whether you can play with a friend on another platform is the question that decides a purchase, and the answer here is short. This module states what is documented, what is not, and which online modes you get once you are in.
Dragon Ball FighterZ Tournament Scene
FighterZ is still a competitive game eight years on, with a circuit, a major at EVO and a French scene that keeps producing top-eight players. This is where the high-level play actually happens, and what to watch first if you want to learn.
